“The more aspects of our being that we simultaneously exercise, the more likely that transformation will occur. In other words: integral transformative practice attempts to be as ‘all levels, all quadrants’ as possible.” - Ken Wilber |

Integral PracticePersons develop all through life through certain levels or “memes” in Spiral Dynamics’ terms. If you want to grow from where you are, to experience love, divinity, or the second tier of spiral dynamics (beyond the green meme), then a personal practice may be what is needed. Ken Wilber advocates an integral practice on all levels of the body, both inner and outer—both in relationship to nature and to culture. If you live in an ecovillage you get the outer part automatically. Ecovillage living is like a highway to personal development. You are mirrored every day by like-minded souls and are constantly reminded about the need to progress. And there is also a calling to contribute to both nature and community (culture in Wilber’s words) Every person has a need for both inner and outer spiritual practices. These can be differentiated by the chakra most directly involved. |
