2. Awakening and Transformation of Consciousness

Becoming a Co-creator of Evolution

Since the days of Darwin, Nature has been understood as competitive. 'Survival of the fittest' is just one expression of this. It has in the West been the general understanding that competition was a basic condition of Nature. But that concept is now being challenged by new paradigm research. James Lovelock put forward the Gaia Theory of Earth as a self-regulating system of cooperating entities. Elisabet Sahtouris, American evolutionary biologist, has elaborated further on this concept, with particular focus on the importance of cooperation rather than competition in evolution.

Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee is a living Sufi master, successor to Irene Tweedy, with important insights on the subject. He calls Earth a “living spiritual being”.
